“We at Sona Rice Mills are committed to implement and continuously improve a food safety management system to ensure safe rice for our customer. HACCP principles are followed to identify, evaluate and control food safety hazards at each step from receipt of paddy to the delivery of rice.

It is the responsibility of all employees to follow personnel hygiene, sanitation control and pest control program requirements”. The effectiveness of Food Safety Management System is ensure through:

  • All necessary steps are taken throughout processing to ensure food safety, quality and fulfillment of customer expectations are maintained through systematic assessment of every step in the production process in line with HACCP principles. This incorporate proactive and preventive control of raw materials, processing activities and the processing environment.
  • All applicable food safety legislation and codes of practices are implemented and complied with.
  • Provision of adequate resources including equipment, verification systems, personnel facilities and regular training of employees to ensure highest possible standards in the running of Quality Management & Food Safety Systems.
